In addition to free lunch, this event will feature two excellent workshops.

In one workshop, Prisma Health’s Advance Care Planning Coordinator, Sydney Garber, will speak on best practices for talking and planning.

This program will help you understand possible future health care choices and consider choices that reflect your values and beliefs. We’ll talk about discussing decisions with loved ones, religious/spiritual leaders and their doctors, as well as how to put choices in writing to be honored by doctors and family members.

In the other workshop, Elizabeth Brantley, Program Director for the Alzheimer’s Association, will present on dementia conversations.

This program provides tips for breaking the ice with family members so you can address some of the most common topics: going to the doctor for a diagnosis or medical treatment, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans for future care.

Hurry… space is limited for this event and registration is first come, first served.
